Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,But he who is impulsive exalts folly.

A fool vents all his feelings,But a wise man holds them back.

Get wisdom! Get understanding!Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it,But knowledge is easy to him who understands.

This also comes from the Lord of hosts,Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.

How much better to get wisdom than gold!And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,And find the knowledge of God.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

And to man He said,‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,And to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,And he who wins souls is wise.

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,And his tongue talks of justice.
